Living in a Boler was written while Mandy was out for a walk by Outlook, Saskatchewan. She came across a yard full of several Boler campers, and thought it would be pretty great to just be able to hook onto one of them and take off. The song is about the need to simplify life and focus on the things that are most important.

Living in a Boler

Written by Mandy Ringdal

A Boler is a home like any other

Smaller than that mansion there on the hill

But coffee tastes the same here at my table

As it does sittin in a house that’s made of gold

 Chorus

And I think I’m gonna live in a Boler

Tow it behind me wherever I go

Fruit on the table just like my mama

Welcome mat sittin there on the floor

Verse

Pull out my lawn chair watch the sun a risin’

And evenin’ comes, I’m watchin the sun go down

This tiny space is all I need to live in

A simple way of life’s good for the soul

Chorus

Verse

The wheels under my home never quit rollin’

Free to go wherever the road will lead

Miles and miles of open space before me

As long as this car runs, I’ll be makin’ miles

Bridge

This way of life’s not for everyone I know

But sometimes all you gotta do is get up and go

Call me crazy baby or call me sane

But I’m only listenin’ to myself today

Chorus

And I think I'm gonna live in a Boler

Tow it behind me wherever I go

Fruit on the table just like my mama

Welcome mat sittin' there on the floor

And I think I'm gonna live in a Boler

I think I'm gonna live in a Boler

I think I'm gonna live in this Boler

Welcome mat sittin' there on the floor
